Note: There is a specific subforum for the My Cloud EX2. This subforum (My Cloud) generally deals with the single bay/single drive My Cloud.

First step to troubleshoot issues is to try and access the My Cloud Dashboard.

How to Access the Dashboard on a My Cloud Device

If one can access the My Cloud Dashboard one can check the status of their My Cloud to see if there are any alerts/notifications or if there is a general status or warning errors. If one can access the Dashboard then they should be able to use Windows File Explorer or Mac Finder to access their My Cloud on the local network. On the My Cloud Dashboard, one can access the Settings page and review the status of the network connection including Remote Access connection. If Remote Access/Cloud Access indicates it is not connected then one likely will not be able to access the My Cloud remotely. Generally disabling Remote Access/Cloud Access, waiting five minutes or so, then re-enabling Remote Access/Cloud Access, then wait to see if the status indicates Connected.

If one has change broadband/Internet providers their new provider may block inbound access on the default ports the My Cloud uses for remote access. If this is the case one may need to change Remote Access/Cloud Access (in the Dashboard > Settings) from default to manual and specify alternate ports. When using the manual setting mode for Remote Access/Cloud Access one typically has to enable port forwarding of the new external ports specified to the local internal port of the My Cloud.

WD Support has more information about Remote Access issues at the following Knowledgebase Article.
