Has anyone managed to get Crashplan running on a MyCloud v2.x?
I’ve got the 2TB single drive one, but it seems I didn’t do enough reading before purchasing so didn’t realise this model has the BusyBox OS not Debian.
Would it be possible with chroot as described by Fox_exe here:
Warning: WDMyCloud and WDMyCloud Gen2 - have different hardware and firmware
Gen1: fw v03.x.x.x and v04.x.x.x (Comcerto C2000 CPU, 256MB RAM)
Gen2: fw GLCR_v2.x.x (Marvell Armada 375 CPU, 512MB RAM)
Chroot, firmwares, info and more:
My archive
Mirror on Google Drive
My site
Chroot Installation:
Enable APP install tab: Howto enable “App install” option
Install “ChrootedDebian” app
Thats all!
Notes:
Your “Public” folder inside chroot mounted as /mnt/shares/Public
Login/Password for …
Thanks,

Hello,
I haven’t seen any new post about it.
See if the following link helps:
I’m trying to install CrashPlan but apt-get seems not to be installed (says: -sh: apt-get: not found) on my EX2 and furthermore any intent on installing it gives me this error:
./jre/bin/java: line 1: ELF4?: not found
./jre/bin/java: line 2: syntax error: unexpected “(”
Am I doing something wrong?
Also, try asking Ned673 to see if he has any information about it.
