Can't access shares with wd2go.com

Hi

I have MyNet N900 and EX4. I set up Remote Access on my router (MyNet N900) and Cloud Access on EX4. Login to wd2go.com and try to View Shares. I can do that on my MyNet N900 - view shares with internet browser. But when I click on EX4 and choose View Shares it’s redirects me to https://www.wd2go.com/jsp/webdav.jsp?deviceType=WD_MY_CLOUD_EX4

WD Photos and WD Cloud on my mobile works OK.

The page look like in that picture

Sorry, what’s the question? The page is telling you what to do.

Yea I was confused too at first. There isn’t a web bowser interface for wd2go. You just download the apps there from what I have collected.

Yes - I can install My Cloud Desktop and it works with EX4. But what I want to do is mount/map (Mac ora Windows) my cloud share remotely.

If I log in to wd2go and choose view share on my MyNet router I can map shares on my Windows/Mac. See pictures below. I thought that the same I can do with EX4. Remote map is great way to work with files and folders when I can’t install My Cloud Desktop app.

And if You read: http://setup.wd2go.com/?mod=faqs&device=mcp4&faq=storeContent - Remote Windows PC - Action 3: Access your content from a remote Windows computer:

  1. From your computer, enter the following URL in a browser:
    https://WDMyCloud.com
  2. At the Sign In page, enter your email and password.
  3. Click Sign In.
The My WD Devices page displays and lists WD devices you have enabled for remote access.
  4. Click the dropdown arrow next to the name of your device and then select View Shares.
  5. For the desired share, click Open in Explorer.
  6. Open, play, or view files in the usual manner.

This works with MyNet 900 but not with EX4. :frowning:

Dtagg - Do You have the same issue?

Everyone does.  As has been said, you cannot do that with the EX4.

You must use the Web File Browser (which requires specific router setup), or one of the apps.

TonyPh12345 - thanks  I think shoudl WD fix it. Yes, I know that I can setup my router but “remote map/mount” is better for me.
