Can't access My Book Essential - update required, no longer support

Hi there

I have an old WD Book from around 2010 that i used previously to back up files on a windows laptop.

I currently use a Mac and sporadically obtain files from this drive, however I recently tried to access the drive and got this message:

“DriveUnlock” needs to be updated.

The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of MacOS. Contact the developer for more information.

This tells me the drive needs updating but I can’t find the update. Ive spoken to WD support and they cant help either.

Is there anyone who can assist me with updating this drive so that I can access (and move) the files please?
