Can someone help me with my OS5 and used WP Passport Wireless Pro query?

Hello all,

I want to buy a used WP passport wireless pro to back up my SD card on the go, only I’m reading about this support ending so what does this mean? I’d also like to back up the SD card on my phone, and internal storage on another phone. Is this possible or should I just buy a dropbox plus account? :joy: Thanks!

OMG What a simple question. . . .and the Vendor response is a boiler plate non-answer?

WP Passport wireless is an old product that has not been sold for several years.
I think the last formal software update was 4 or 5 years ago?

Bottom line: The software is old. The software has security vulnerabilities.

Is it perfect? No.
Does it work? Yes.
Would I allow this device access to the internet? No.

Is it pretty much obsolete and functionally replaced by cloud services and super small SSD drives? Yes.
Do I still use the device? Yes.
Daily? No.
Do I take it on long trips? Not when space/weight is a concern. (I do bring a laptop with small SSD)
