Belkin F6D4050 V2 not recognised

Hi all! I saw many topics about this big problem of incompatibility with this wireless adapter. I really don’t understand why WD doesn’t update the firmware with this new device that seems to be equal at the first one (ver 1). I think their chips are the same or a bit different, so what is the problem? The problem is that they want to force to buy other their products, such as HDD to avoid this problem?

Is not possible to buy a modem-router or wifi adapter, in base at the list of device recognised compatible…this is really funny!

They have only one thing to do when they want update the wd tv live, they have to add MORE and MORE adapters, because at this moment their support is not good.

They must keep pace and they have to help their customers.

Bye

They are different enough that even WINDOWS requires different drivers between V1 and V2…  Probably a different chipset.

I see…but they should especially support the newest adapters, considering they still want sell the wd live TV, and then, they have to show the willingness to keep up with the marketing of new modem routers and adapters.

I think that is not difficult to do an update with the newest drivers of some adapters, but i’m afraid that they have no interest to go in this way
