I have a WD Live Hub with years of family videos that were converted to digital. I’d like to back up/make a copy of those videos to keep on my computer, and back up to a cloud. What is the least complicated way of going about backing up my videos? if I plug in a standard USB/external drive, will that work? If there is nothing simple, or if whatever I try fails, is there a service that I could send it out to that can back up/copy for me? Thank you!

once you have done this and rebooted you should be able to access your files in windows explorer in network - you can map the network drive (WDHDTVHUB) so you can readily access it. Copy your files to a backup drive etc.
I had the same problem but this workaround fixed it
