Additional Files My Book Essential 500Gb

Hi. I have a My Book Essential 500Gb. When i completed a backup today, i noted about 93Gb of data were saved in the various categories established by WD’s system. I can see the file on the My Book Essential. But, when i use the Backup view (the Backup’ tab) i note an additonal 232Gb of data that i can not account for on the actual My Book Essential drive.

  1. what are these files?

  2. how do i remove them?

One more round of backup and i will be out of space.

Hi, where exactly are you seeing the additional 232GB? You can go manually into the my book, inside you will have a folder named smartware.swstor you can check the size of that folder to know the size of the backup.
