Where is the "Backup in Progress" message?

Just got the My Passport portable drive.
Setting it up …
The manual says, “The WD Backup software runs the first backup immediately and shows the progress with a Backup in progress (x % complete) message on the Backup dialog.”

I can’t find this.

Anyone know where I can view the progress?

Did you install the WD backup software on the computer and setup you backup plan?
