My Passport Ultra backup not displaying completion percentage

I just started my first backup on the device, followed all the instructions, etc. However when it started, the manual specifically says it should show a progress percentage, which makes sense, but mine is not displaying and I have no way to estimate how long it will take. It does appear to be working as the display says that the backup was started and the light on the HD is blinking, indicating file transfer. I can also go into the drive file and see that some of my data has been written, but I just wondered if there is something wrong with it or why it wouldn’t display a percentage (or I’m potentially not looking at the right screen? Although this is the only one that came up). I would like to be able to see the progress for future backups.

Normally, if you are speaking of smartware, the software does not show a percentage, my advice s to make sure that the data for backup and the data backed up are the same size, meaning all the data for back up has been copied.
