When windows boot at the screen with colorful windows logo it just sits there, and WD drive LED keep blinking, when I shutdown the drive or detach it from USB Windows boot right there.
Question: Why Western Digital My Book Essentials stop windows from booting at start-up?
Also Western Digital My Book Essentials doesn’t have hard power button and just deciding to power itself up when PC in powered on, this is frikking annoying, how to prevent that?
Go into the BIOS and check the boot order. Make sure USB comes after the HD. You’ll have to search on how to access yours there are different methods.
