WDTV SMP not seeing drive bay

Hi Guys,

I have a WDTV streaming media player, and am having issues getting it to see the drives in an external drive bay. Everything I try to share on my PC shares fine, but not so for the drive bay.

I have got this working before & have no idea why it’s not working now.

The external shares are seen in “net share”.

Any help will be greatly apprecaited

(I am using Windows 8, 64 bit)

Dunno ? depending on your Firmware, only 10 Network Shares supported ?  (earlier Firmware supported 20)

I have the latest firmware.

I have 5 network shares on my PC, and 4 on my external drive bay. Do you suggest I disable my windows administrative shares? Also, I had this working a few weeks ago, after the latest firmware update.

Cheers

Sorry, not an expert in this … but did you read the above link ?

They too, also had it working with latest Firmware until a Reset and Reboot.

Just tried downgrading firmware with no luck :frowning:

does anyone else have any ideas? this is really frustrating. it worked before so i’m lost as to how to fix it.

cheers
