WD TV Live Hub - It can't see shared drives

I had a similar problem where the Live Hub was not able to see my Synology NAS. I have a Netgear WNDR3700 wireless router that has a USB port that allows for the addition of an external drive.  The router was set up to enable the media server for that USB port.  When I went into the router configuration settings and disabled the media server, my Live Hub was able to see my Synology NAS.  I believe that some of the other routers like the Linksys E3000 might have a similar setting since it has a USB port also.  Hope this helps.

In my network, I have these items connected -

  1. PC

2. WD TV Live Hub

  1. PS3

But when i enter into command prompt and typed

C:\Users\Chows>net view

Server Name            Remark

\Chows-PC

The command completed successfully.

C:\Users\Chows>

I couldn’t find any other media devices.

Please let me know how to add media devices to my network.

My goal here is to acess WD TV Live Hub’s folder structure from PC to add/modify folders.

Thanks in advance!

On the Hub, make sure you enable File Sharing, and also make sure it’s in the correct Workgroup.
