Hi guys, just give you more information, I have the same problem in playing any video format over a network sharing. My previous system was Linux UBUNTU and I could play any video very well and no freeze happend. But I install Windows XP (I regret so much :( … ) and playing videos over a Windows XP share starts happend. I’m not sure this is a problem on WD TV Family (mine is a WD TV Live) or a LAN-router issue or setup. It might be a configuration on Windows? I realy don’t know, but I want to get this problem solved. Please does anybody help me?
i too had freezing …After much effort I have solved my problem.
For me I first disabled the lltd service in Windows 7 , that seemed not to help at all.
I then began to disconnect each computer on the network and restart the Wd and wait…each time the same thing
Freeze up after some amount of time.
Finally I unplugged my Seagate Network Storage device and all is perfect now.
