I purchased a WD passport external drive so that I could boot my computer. It ended up not working the way I wanted it to so I got an internal drive instead that works just fine. I want to use the passport now just as a portable drive for storage but ever since I formatted to be a start-up drive my computer (HP Windows 10) doesn’t recognize it in the Windows Explorer. If I go to Device Manager it’ll say that “This device is functioning appropriately” but I am not able to store anything on it. Does anyone know how to get it back to storage format? Thank you!
Using the Disk Manager, delete all the existing partitions. Add a new partition and format it.
