Just purchased a new WD Passport 4tb from Costco … also registered it and updated all software in WD Discovery. When I try to run backup it says my Passport is offline ?? … I removed the password on the drive as well… I have about 10 passports previously purchased and had no problem. I am very disappointed …

Others with similar problem. Try using WD Backup alone, without WD Discovery. It doesn’t seem to work with Passports, although it did previously.

Thanks !! … I solved the issue … Crazy but I still had my old Passport in the backup and not the new one … I created a new backup and voila !! all fine …
