WD Online Storage?

Hello. I just bough a WD Storage my cloud.
We are 3 laptops connected to the WD by wifi, ok. But when we disconnect the WD, we can not access to the WD, ok.
But could we have a possibility to have some or all files always online? Is it possible to connect it via dropbox, mega or similar?
Another question is if we can have the WD as a devide in My PC, so we can work like in a server.

Thank you very much.

The My Cloud is a network attached storage device (NAS) with limited remote access capability. It is NOT like DropBox or similar online storage sites. If you turn off the My Cloud or turn off “cloud access” within the My Cloud Dashboard or turn off your local internet connection you cannot access the My Cloud from a remote location.

If you haven’t done so already you should read through the My Cloud User Manual (https://support.wdc.com/product.aspx?ID=904) which explains the features and options of the My Cloud.

Currently the single bay My Cloud units do not officially support backing up or syncing the My Cloud to online storage services like DropBox. There are unofficial methods of possibly syncing or backing up a single bay My Cloud to services like DropBox or using SSH and Rsync, but these methods are not officially supported by WD.
