I succ. installed “crack” and than Plex, Transmission…all working great.

Today I tried to install abFiles. Installation was succesfull, I get login screen, but after logon there is just empty page, pointed on this address:
http://IP_OF_MY_COLUD/cgi-bin/abFiles.cgi

I’m testing this inside my network.

Can somebody have any idea how to discover where is my problem …

All other apps saved too.

I just bought My Cloud 6TB, dont know which gen it belongs to? Will this works on 6TB too? Got firmware v.4xxx installed.

No. Not if your My Cloud is v4.x it is the first gen My Cloud. And no, you cannot install or upgrade the first gen My Cloud to use the v2.x firmware used on the second gen My Cloud units.

This guide is great, but if you just want to install Transmission there is an easier way whiteout using SSH:

  1. Open your WD MyCloud from a browser (tested on Chrome, others will fail because security settings)

  2. In the URL type (do not copy&paste, because it will remove the javascript: part)

javascript:APP_INSTALL_FUNCTION = 1;

  1. Hit enter, browse Applications and you will find a fully functional install applications menú.

  2. Download application from @Fox_exe website anionix.ru and install manually using the previous menu.

  3. Enjoy

(Note: to uninstall the applications you will have to follow the same instructions to enable the buttons)

Also you can install WDMyCloud_WDCrack_1.0.bin and have the same functionality without enabling SSH and running scripts :stuck_out_tongue:

Tip: you can even create a bookmark and set it’s destination URL to the code quoted before to enable with a click this function (or other functions from define.js).

I have successfully installed Plex but would like to be able to update Plex as new updates become available. It sounds like the best way is to be able to repackage WD releases. Can you walk me through the easiest method of repacking the bin files so that they will work with the single drive.

Hi there!

I have installed the WDMyCloud_WDCrack and the Plex App. It is all working great. Thanks so much.

There appears to be a new version of Plex Media Server released in March 2017. Version 1.4.4.

Can I upgrade to this version from within the app or should I wait until the .bin file is provided on the archive at https://ftp.anionix.ru/WDMyCloud/WDMyCloud-Gen2/Apps/

I have installed the latest firmware to mycloud gen2, and runned to this error at webui with help files:
The requested URL /web/WebHelp/09022015/HU-HU/index.htm was not found on this server.
Is any solution to this?

This is my issue.
I can install manual apps, but i don’t see any apps that should be listed here.
All apps are installed from

Hi!

Thanks @Fox_exe!! I installed Transmission without problems.
I tried to change de path of downloads to a folder in a HD conntected via USB to My Cloud but Transmission don’t do anything.

Can you help me?
