The Encryption Controller went out on my WD My Book. the embossed PCB # is **4060-705149-000 Rev A, but there is a barcode with “switches” with the number **4061-705149-A00 Rev AC. I understand from another posting that the “000” and “A00” are a serial number and not necessary for matching. Do I need to look for the embossed number or the barcoded number when replacing?

I got my answer: the embossed number is the primary number to be considered. The number on the bar code is equivalent to the embossed number. I ordered the card with the embossed number. I should get it by this time next week and be back up and running!

My answer was incorrect. After ordering by the embossed number, I received this piece:

It is missing the piece on the right, with the additional barcode.

So, I am back to square 1.
