WD Green + WD Purple in one device

Dear Community/ WD Support Team

Please help; I have DVR security system and the internal drive i used before was WD20EURS Green and i want to put additional Storage which is WD80PURZ 8TB Surveillance, is it possible they can work together? If not, what the condition.

WD Purple Surveillance Hard Drives manufactures for reliable NAS operation in HD security systems with up to five hard drives and up to 32 cameras. WD Purple hard drives would be used with DVR system but it is recommended to contact DVR manufacturer also in order to get confirmation for compatibility.
