My hard drive was working just fine & all of a sudden the drive is no longer working. I have tried putting the drive into an external hard drive enclosure and still nothing. It does not even show up in the the Device Manager or the Computer Management. I have tons of info on this drive and would like to obtain it.
Try using recuva or photorec to recover the information, after you complete the process you will need to contact WD for replacement. You can do so either by phone or email.

just one problem if the drive doesnt appear in biosyou will be out of luck
let the drive rest for days and after that just warm up the drive a little to working temperatures before trying to start it…
you may have luck… if the drive appears em bios i think you will need to do a “format quick” option to use recuva
the recuva software works great after a quick format AND NOT THE EXTENDED ONE
please be carefull
do not stress the drive too much and you may have luck and not use any recovery services
