I bought a WD 2tb Elements Portable hard drive, When I connected it to the PC for the first time and started copying some files, it made a strange sound that was different from the other WD Elements hard drives I have, then the noise disappeared, I would like to know if someone here had the same issue?
Well my problem is this, when I eject the hard drive in Safely Remove Hardware icon on the taskbar, the light goes off and the disk also stops working, unlike my other WD 1tb external hard drives where the light keeps blinking, I tried with another similar 2TB hard drive and the problem is the same it turns off abruptly and and the light turns off completely, my question is:
This is normal in 2tb WD hard drives?
I need to install the Western Digital Software that comes with the hard drive?
