USB Backups update - but no possibility how to update in reach

Hello,

recently we received a notification from our WD MyCould EX2 Ultra that “USB Backups” app is available for update (code 1501). but there is nowhere any information WHAT has been changed/improved in that app neither an option to actually do the update.

Can anyone point me to the patch notes and/or to the update possibilities?

Manually update the firmware to 5.27.157, then the updated apps list will appear.

WDMyCloudEX2Ultra_5.27.157_prod.bin

The 5.27.157 firmware update changed the base distribution from Debian 10 (Buster) to Debian 11 (Bullseye). Therefore, most apps for OS5 5.27.157 firmware are NOT compatible with prior firmware versions, and vice versa.
