Unable to access my hard disk

Hi Sir

I have purchased this 4 years ago it’s 1 TB capacity and i have saved the almost 800 gb data,i was using it properly and yesterday suddenly its just showing disk drive as D and not showing the capacity and size bar and also keeps loading and coming as file explorer not responding and while ejecting it showed me the error d drive not accessible and function key parameter not permitted,is that means I have lost ally data

From what you’ve described, it doesn’t automatically mean your 800GB of data is gone. When a drive shows up as “D:” without capacity details and gives an error like “The parameter is incorrect,” it’s often caused by file system corruption, bad sectors, or even a cable/connection issue rather than complete data loss. Since the drive is about four years old and almost full, hardware wear is also possible. Avoid formatting the drive or running repair tools for now, as that can make recovery more difficult. If the drive still shows its full size in Disk Management and isn’t making clicking or unusual noises, there’s a good chance the data can still be recovered.
