Transmission?

Sorry for sounding novice but while hunting for “how to download torrent directly to cloud?” I came across the thread on installing Transmission.
A quick question - Can someone tell me what is transmission? If the app is installed on MyCloud FW 4.0X how do I search for torrents and start downloads? Somewhere I read how to install it using SSH. I am not sure if that procedure is updated with errors removed. Can an updated link to install and uninstall be shared?

The transmission app can be found on the My Cloud mirror unit, EX, DL and PR series, however this wont be found on the single drive My Cloud units.
