Rootfs full.. WD stock 4.4 FW

I’m trying to download from Teanazar and getting errors on rootfs being full. This is on stock WD’s 4.4FW. Looking on disk usage, root seems to be fine with more than 50% available. Another problem on df command is only one user is mounted.

WDMyCloud:~# df

On cat /etc/mtab, all the mounts for /dev/sda4 are visible.

Any ideas?

What unofficial app are you trying to install?

Have you performed a subforum search via the magnifying glass icon and reviewed the several other discussions on how to potentially deal with a rootfs full error message? Here are just two discussions that deal with trying to fix or solve the rootfs full issue:

NVM…it was corrupt system as issued apt-get update on wrong device :rage:. Reinstalled factory image and all seems good now. Thanks.

As you discovered. You never, EVER, run an “apt-get” on the My Cloud firmware. Doing so, especially on the v4.x firmware with its 64K page file size, will typically brick the unit or cause other strange issues as you discovered.

lesson learned . Somehow got pine64’s IP wrong on putty and never realised I was logged into mycloud.

One suggestion, if you haven’t done so already, to avoid running into the problem again use a different SSH password for the My Cloud than any or all other SSH devices you access.
