Surely someone has the setup to build a deb out of a python application?

Fox, I try to install transmission-daemon 2.84 from your sid and the error is as follows:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
transmission-cli : Depends: libminiupnpc10 (>= 1.9.20140610) but it is not installable
transmission-daemon : Depends: init-system-helpers (>= 1.18~) but it is not going to be installed

Я все не могу поставить MC на клауд.

Может если совета нет через скайп попробовать сделать с тобой починку этой проблемы, скажешь только сколько за твоё время нужно и какой акаунт пайпал.

Собственно, полностью снеси и поставь заново libgpm

Transmission from sid fixed. I think all dependences available now.

Tried using sid to install transmission-2.84 but get the following:

Depends: libcurl3-gnutls (>= 7.18.0) but it is not going to be installed

Recommends: transmission-cli (>= 1.50-1) but it is not going to be installed

E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Any help is appreciated.

Transmission from sid can’t be installed because i can recompile libgnupg and some other packages.

Also PHP5 have unmet dependencies too (krb5 / Kerberos).

Maybe i fix it later

I download the .deb file for rsync and trying to install it, but get this:

Preparing to replace rsync 3.0.9-4 (using rsync_3.0.9-4_armhf.deb) …
Unpacking replacement rsync …
Setting up rsync (3.0.9-4) …
Processing triggers for man-db …
fopen: Permission denied

im installing as root. WD drive running the latest 4.x fw

EDIT: Solved it by running: chown -R man /var/cache/man

Something to with the root user being the ownver of that directory causes the issue. Though i will put the ower back to root now, as i dont know the consequences of leaving it with a non root user.

If you meant the original sources.list from stock WD FW4.x then its below:

Regarding my own post above. Does the stock sources.list show that the first “jessie” repo contains 64k page compatible?

Notice that, that is the only uncommented line in that file.
