Repository with software worked on v4 firmware

Yes. But you got “old” versions of software.

Use “sid” repo for get latest transmission and minidlna. (deb http://anionix.ddns.net wheezy-64k sid)

I tried to install minidlna but there are some problem with dependencies:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 minidlna : Depends: libavformat56 (>= 6:11~beta1) but it is not going to be installed
            Depends: libflac8 (>= 1.3.0) but 1.2.1-6 is to be installed
            Depends: libjpeg62-turbo (>= 1.3.1) but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

should I add into sources.list also wheeze-64k main repository?

Best regards

Andrew

Thank you for this repository !

Would it be possible to add the package rtorrent ? It’s a simple and powerful command line bittorrent client

No. I miss few packets in repo.

Try install minidlna again.

Yes. In progress…

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
minidlna : Depends: libavformat56 (>= 6:11~beta1) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libflac8 (>= 1.3.0) but 1.2.1-6 is to be installed

I’m also a liitle bit confused in linux version in V4 firmware, when I check the *-release file it shows:

WDMyCloud:~# cat /etc/*-release
PRETTY_NAME=“Debian GNU/Linux 7 (wheezy)”
NAME=“Debian GNU/Linux”
VERSION_ID=“7”
VERSION=“7 (wheezy)”
ID=debian
ANSI_COLOR=“1;31”
HOME_URL=“http://www.debian.org/
SUPPORT_URL=“Debian -- User Support
BUG_REPORT_URL=“http://bugs.debian.org/

but in sources.list after the firmware update I had uncomented only the line with jessie:

WDMyCloud:~# cat /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ jessie main

Note, wheezy is not 64K page aligned.

##deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ wheezy main
#deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ sid main
#deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ experimental main
#deb-src http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ jessie main

so maybe I should use the wheeze-64k main repository?

Best regards

Andrew

Yes. Dont use official debian repos because in v4 firmware need soft with PageSize=64kb (In debian.org - standart 4kb).

So, if you install something from debian.org - you can brick you device.

Thanks for your repository. It helps me a lot.

I want a software named mediaelch.

I don’t know where the official debian repository locates, so I found the mediaelch source in the url http://ppa.launchpad.net/kvibes/mediaelch/ubuntu/dists/precise/main/debian-installer/

Could you add this software to your repository?

Many thanks to you Fox_exe for your great support, now I can install miniDLNA.

I’m missing only the one small package which I used to, nmon - could you recompile it?

Best regards

Andrew

Looks like i will never get “flexget” for FW 4.x

Does anyone know of any torrent downloader from a torrent RSS feed? i would like to upgrade m wd cloud to FW 4.x but really need some rss torrent downloader…

thanks

I can’t seem to get nzbget working. After install I only end up with new files in the following 2 locations:

/usr/bin/nzbget
/usr/share/doc/nzbget

With a working nzbget on v3 firmware, I remember there being a lot more installed files. Am I doing something wrong, or might there be files missing in the repo?

Need it? Make it!

Python and python-pip available in repo.

Flexget can be installed from pip (Python package manager)

@Fox_exe

If i knew how to compile linux packages i would have attempted to MAKE it. But unfortunately i dont know.

Yes, as you said it is installed from PIP.

Heres “Flesget” source if someone is willing to help me out with creating the package compatible with FW4.x ?

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4883446/FlexGet-1.2.271.tar.gz

I tried to install “python PIP” manually via deb downloaded from @Fox_exe’s repo

but i got this:

python-pip depends on python2.6; however:
Package python2.6 is not installed.
python-pip depends on python-pkg-resources; however:
Package python-pkg-resources is not installed.
python-pip depends on python-setuptools (>= 0.6c1); however:
Package python-setuptools is not installed.

dpkg: error processing python-pip (–install):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Processing triggers for man-db …

I notice that those dependencies dont exist anywhere on the repo either under MAIN or SID…

On another note the WD cloud dirve already seems to be running Python 2.7.3. Python still seems to be complaining about requiring 2.6?

привет

mldonkey-server соберешь?

и в шапку добавь как ставить из sid свежий транс

спасибо!

Отправил на сборку. Через пару часов соберется.

mldonkey-server will be added soon.

hey, i want to install NZBGet on my WD My Cloud with this Repo, but it dont work, any ideas?

@Fox_exe

I tried using your repository.

After running apt-get update

i tried to intall “python-pip”  but i go the following. looks like dependencies are missing.

WDMyCloud:~# apt-get install python-pip
Reading package lists… Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information… Done
You might want to run ‘apt-get -f install’ to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
python-pip : Depends: python2.6 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: python-pkg-resources but it is not installable
Depends: python-setuptools (>= 0.6c1) but it is not installable
Recommends: python-dev-all (>= 2.6) but it is not installable
Recommends: build-essential but it is not installable

i also tried to install “python” but i believe a version of python already comes installed on WD mycloud

WDMyCloud:~# apt-get install python
Reading package lists… Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information… Done
python is already the newest version.
python set to manually installed.
You might want to run ‘apt-get -f install’ to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
python-pip : Depends: python2.6 but it is not going to be installed
Depends: python-pkg-resources but it is not installable

i dont want to run “apt-get -f install” because from my past experience with the wd cloud drive, that command ends up bricking the drive.

Hi there,

Thanks for all the work you’ve done!

I’d like to install BubbleUPNP on my My Cloud, but I need the Java package, maybe you could add it?

openjdk-7-jre-headless

https://packages.debian.org/wheezy/openjdk-7-jre-headless

Cheers

Hi.

Thanks for all your work. Any chance to add qbittorrent-nox? (qbittorrent without X interface)

https://packages.debian.org/search?suite=default&section=all&arch=any&searchon=names&keywords=qbittorrent-nox

THANKS!

@Fox_exe

If possible please build for 64k page compatibility and put on your repo.

python-pkg-resources: https://packages.debian.org/squeeze/python-pkg-resources
python-dev-all: https://packages.debian.org/sid/python-all-dev
build-essentials: https://packages.debian.org/squeeze/build-essential
python-setuptools: https://packages.debian.org/wheezy/python-setuptools
Python 2.7.9

i would really appreciate it. Thank you.
