Remote FTP access to MyCloud EX2 Ultra

Hi,

I recently got a MyCloud EX2 Ultra and have no problem mapping it to my Mac in my home network. However, I want to be able to access it remotely through FTP - I’m using Mountain Duck. I’m not completely sure about the settings in Mountain Duck. I have FTP enabled on the MyCloud (following External FTP access to MyCloudEX4100) and my router.

Any help is much appreciated.

You will need port forwarding setup on your router for ftp. Also if you use a cheap crappy router expect problems accessing via ftp, mostly freezes and crashes. also you can test ftp in any browser too instead of a client:

just put in ftp://your ip/ and it should prompt you for username and password if all is working correctly.
