Questions About Reformatting My Book 4TB

Hi, The My Book 4TB external drive that I purchased is formatted with exFAT. My remote backup service only supports NTFS. So, I’d like to reformat the drive to NTFS. Would appreciate any tips, suggestions, or warnings, for a smooth, uneventful reformatting attempt. Thanks, Gary Dean

don’t be scared … just format it.

It’s one of the easiest things you can do … right click on the drive, select NTFS & Quick Format and click Start … wait 10~15 seconds and it’s done.

Oh, if there’s any WD software on the hard drive that you want to keep, back it up … because formatting a drive erases all data on the drive.
