Question about My Book

I have a 1TB  My Book external drive.  I have had it for about ten months.  I thought it was merrily backing up my computer.  The other day I checked it and I had a whopping 350MB of free space.   I did a disk clean up and now have 54.9GB free space.  I have 80GB shown as total data in my source computer.    In the Additional Files area  of  the Backup drive it shows 857.8GB stored there.  Can someone please tell me what this data is and how do I ,or do I want to, get rid of it? I have looked the manual over and can’t find a way of identifying what it is that is stored there.

Thanks

Remember that the software is not the only way to copy files to the drive.

You can manually add data to drive.

Moreover, the drive could have older backups done with different applications.

If you want you can go to the drive and delete any files you don’t need.

Please tell me how to go to the drive and delete files.  I have tried clicking on everything to get into the “Additional files” partition.  Nothing works.  I’m as dumb as a post when it comes to this external drive and the help function doesn’t say much.

Thanks for the reply

Files are not available to delete though the software.

On computer you should see the drive name, open the drive and all of the available folders will be there.
