Power LED is a steady red

Power LED displays a steady red light. Does that mean that the device is no longer good? Drive lights show Blue. And Diagnostics indicate that the device is “Healthy” I’ve tried resets but Power LED always returns to steady red.

This happened to me last May while the device was still under warranty and WD replaced the device. But the warranty ran out in Jan.

It could be a total hardware failure or just the LED controller not working properly.

Thanks for the advice. But the problem no longer exists. I deleted a bunch of old files and the light went to steady blue.

Thanks for letting me know. The red LED is not documented in the manuals very much.
