Hi I have the same issue, I can see mybook live however my timemachine backup disk can not be found (see pic).
Firmware is uptodate please help.

Did you try rebooting your My Book Live?
I had the same thing after I upgraded to Yosemite and this solved it (although the problem appeared once or twice since then).
That is the funniest thing I have heard today (turn it off and back on again, just like my IT department at work).
I however didn’t think of it and of course you my friend are correct. Thank you very much!
