Not able to add apps in My Cloud

I have a 4 TB WD My Cloud on the latest firmware 2.21.126.

I’m experiencing a problem in which I’m unable to add any apps. When I log into the WD Dashboard through my browser as an admin, and click on the “Apps” button in the ribbon across the top, I’m at a screen where two apps are pre-installed (HTTP Downloads and Safepoint Migration). At the bottom right corner of that box, the help documentation says that I should be seeing a “+” sign via which I can add more apps. Unfortunately, that “+” sign simply does not appear in my version. Please see the screenshot attached.

What am I doing wrong? I’ve tried this on both Chrome and Safari browsers (I’m using Mac OS Sierra)

You are not doing anything wrong. The single bay/single drive v2.x My Cloud units do not officially support adding third party modules like the My Cloud Mirror and more expensive My Cloud NAS units.

Unofficially several users have created unofficial workarounds to install certain third party modules to the v2.x single bay My Clouds. One can use the forum search feature, magnifying glass icon upper right, to find those discussions.
