Need help - Planning to buy New WD TV Media player

Hi, I am using WD LIVE HUB 1 tb from 2011 and last week it is not booting up any more. I am planning to replace it with new WD TV media player. I have couple of questions.

1. I have My Book Duo (WDBLWE0040JCH) 4 TB capacity Raid Drive where i copied all my movies. Does this new player supports this storage thru USB(?) - it was not supported by WD LIVE HUB 1 TB.

  1. I was using CoCo (Linksheet) theme by Tinwarble, will this theme works on this new device (as all my movie sheets are created using the CoCo linksheet template

  2. Is netflix is working(?)

Appreciate your inputs.

Thanks

Sudheer

  1. It should do as long as it formatted NTFS of HFS+

You did’nt respond to the post below (still don’t know how you have it formatted…)

2 The Live Streaming and Personal Edition only supports 30MB for a Theme running Official Firmware. (which isn’t enough room for a lot of Linksheets)

To use Linksheets without the 30MB limitation … you’ll need to run Custom Firmware

  1. The New WDTV Live Media Player (Personal Edition) does not support “Netflix”

If you want to use Netflix, you will need to purchase the older WDTV Live Streaming Media Player.

1. WD My Book Duo is pre-formated with with NTFS, I am using it right out of the box. (Text from  WD Product page: My Book Duo ships preconfigured in RAID 0 for maximum performance. Pre-formatted NTFS, My Book Duo is ready to use right out of the box for Windows OS users.)

But this is not getting recogniged when i plugged into USB port of WD Live Hub.

  1. Thanks for the workaround.

  2. Thank you for the confirmation.
