Need support for Windows phones users, or publish that ur product dosen’t support for windows phones… tnq
Status: Acknowledge.
I am confused with Western Digital and the apparent decision to not support Windows Phones. I do have a support ticket open and will continue to work through that. I was looking through the community to see if anyone had a work around, but there does not seem to be any. WD seriously, what the heck?
Yesterday I had a longer phone call with WD after my case was escalated.
Mybe you can try to get your case escalated to. Maybe tell me your Casenumber and I will forward this during my case.
During the call I asked for an official statement from WD about a Windows Phone App here in the community. Hope to get one during the next days and hope that we get a Windows 10 Universal App that can be used on Windows Phone 10 soon
My Case was already Escalated on 25 August 2015 (NO improvement), Befor my case Escalated one of the wd techinical guy replied As Following,

Dear sarath ,
Thank you for contacting Western Digital Service and Support. My name is R…h
We would like to inform you that you can connect your My passport wireless to your windows mobile by using WD MY CLOUD app.
THere is no such app in Windows Phone store…!!!
Got WD2go which was not working…
I doubt very much if WD (or any other app maker) will tell you the real reason they don’t make a Windows version of their app. It is all about market share.
Other than Android and iOS phones that basically have it all, Windows and other phones get to pick up what’s left of the scraps. Don’t believe me See this:
My suggestion to folks with Windows phones is to see if there is a Windows app that allows you access equipment holding media files that can be accessed via DLNA, etc. You should be able to get at stuff that way.
Latest statement from WD
“…currently a statement regarding the future of WD My Cloud Apps and Windows Mobile phone will not be posted.”
Where is this statement. in a press release, or in an email to you? Please indicate where statement is.
I have just bought a MyCloudMirror Gen 2, I have a Windows phone and went to the App store to check if there was an app for the MyCloud which there was WD2go - excellent I thought and looked no further. Once I downloaded it and it would not connect to MyCloud I contacted WD to ask what was going on and got the below response:

Thank you for contacting Western Digital Customer Support my name is [Agent Name] and I am one of the WD Support Agents.
I understand that you are having an issue with your My Cloud application on your Windows phone. I would like to apologise for any inconveniences this may have caused you and I will do my best in order to get your issue resolved
I am sorry to inform you but the My Cloud application is no longer supported on a Windows phone so it may not work on. However if your phone supports it you can always try accessing through www.mycloud.com to see your files through there.
I hope this information will get your issue resolved, if it happens that the issue is still not resolved please do not hesitate to give me a reply.

Well Thanks WD, that really fixed everything, there is nothing like having the most inconvenient possible way of doing anything to make you want to spend more money with a company. IF this doesn’t resolved I will return the MyCloud and never buy anything from WD again. I would suggest that anybody that gets messed around by any company take the same approach.
OK, Windows Phone users, pay attention:
Quit whining, and install an app on the darn phone made by someone else. I use different apps on iOS and Android devices other than WD ones to access my WD NAS, and you can do the same.
I did some of your homework for you, Check out these links at Windows store. the pickin’s look thin, but that’s what comes with a Windows phone, I suppose.

Now, will one of you install one of these apps and let your Win phone colleagues know if they work well for you?
