N900 routinely locking up every 36 - 48 hours

The first stress test failed in 5 minutes on 1.05.12. I was trying to copy about 100 MB of data to the internal drive and the router just froze.

I liked the transfer rate, though - over 6 MBs, compared to 3.5MBs on 1.03.11.

I placed the router back on its cooling pad and I am trying again.

Looks like the cooling pad makes all the difference. The good news is that the one I am using can be powered by the router USB port.

That being said, I am considering very seriously downgrading back to 1.3.11.

One more thing. This time I have not installed any WD software. In the past, due to SmartWare, the internal HDD was working nonstop.

My router froze again overnight. So 1.05.12 is flawed.

I am back now to 1.4.11. Too bad, I really liked the performance under the latest firmware but the stability is more important to me.
