I have 2 N900 routers, one with the hard drive (central) and one without.
I want to use the N900 without to be in extender mode upstairs to increase range.
I have tried setting these up for days and am failing horribly.
I have watched some vague videos and the manual doesn’t entirely help.
After setting the ADMIN mode type to extender, what do I edit next?
I can see the SSID on my network, but when I try to connect it gives IP error and no internet.
How do I set the repeater to grab the internet from the router and send it I guess.
Sorry for the noob question, but had nowhere else to go.

Once the SSID is detected, it should ask for the password used in that network. It is case sensitive.
If the provided information is correct and still the connection won’t be established, then maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.
Apparently after 35 minutes on the phone, 2 resets and some changes, they came to the conclusion that the Mynet N900 cannot be an actual exender wirelessly, it must be hard wired as an access point.
Silly me to think the call would have started with this knowledge
