I’ve been using my WD external drive MyBookWorld for several years. It’s a 2TB mirrored device. I connect via an ethernet cable to the router. For a while my provider was Time Warner but now it’s FIOS and even though the device is connected via the ethernet cable and it does appear in WDLink but I cannot click on the shares. .
Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this.
