MyBookLive - server plus backup?

Hi 

I’d like to use my 2TB MyBookLive as both file server for multiple PCs, and backup.

But the WD Smartware only allows me to back up from my PC hard drive, not from a MyBook share.

Is this possible? I’m not worried about redundancy as I have cloud backup in addition.

Hi, just to be sure, are you trying to backup from a My Book USB hard drive connected to your PC? If that is the case, it is currently not possible to backup your files in this way, but you can copy your files manually.
