RE: Working with Office files.

We had Microsoft verify the following:

  1. Office 2010 doesn’t use a WebClient to save webdav documents, therefore the prompt can’t be avoided
  2. Office 2007 uses a WebClient to save webdav documents - thus the user won’t get prompted

This is particular to Microsoft’s implementation.

great, thank you so much for this great news.  all i have to do know is dump my Office 2010 and step back to 2007 and i am fine.

no, again you are incorrect sir.

if you are using version 2010 Microsoft Office there is no fix.  check the answer from WD.  they say if you use Office 2007 this issue would not be there.
