My Passport drive still full after deleting files

Hello,

My My Passport Drive shows it’s nearly full although I deleted more than 300GB of data. When I delete files the memory space simply stays the same.

I know this issue from other external drives where I then simply have to clear the trash on my mac and/or the external but both show they are empty.

Can anybody help please?

more info:

I use a My Passport 1TB external drive with a Mac Book Pro OS X 10.6. I also have MacFuse installed so I can read AND write on NTFS. I do not use any automatical backup but use the My Passport as a usual external drive where I drag and drop files.

Thanks in advace!

Hi cuinadril, try running a DLG test to see if you have some corrupted files.

Hey Ichigo, thanks for this first hint. The output is this. Still I have no clue what that means.

Hi again, it is possible that some sectors are damaged on the Passport, in order to be sure, you can try backing up all of your files and then do a full format. Check the link below for the steps.
