My Media Library Scan Ignores Numbers

Latest Version and PREVIOUS 2 Versions

Folders under WINXP Shares retains the numbering sequence I use for

ordering episodic Videos ie:

Cadfael:

  1. One Corpse Too Many

  2. The Sanctuary Sparrow

  3. The Leper of St Giles…etc

When scanned using the “My Media Library” the numers 01), 02), 03)…are Ignored. Therfore episodic videos

use the default sorting options.

This is the same for a NAS and attached USB Drive…

Is this the way it is??? Or am I missing something so obvious…

Try using the TV Show filter (Green Button)

I have a similar problem.
I have a TV series of 21 episodes, so named

[Serie Title] [Season Number]x[Episode Number (2 digit)] [Episode Title]

Before being cataloged are correctly ordered alphabetically, but after being cataloged are sorted by the number of episode, but in the wrong way, ie:
1, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 2, 3, … etc.

How can I order correctly classified episodes of TV series?

You can edit the TITLE tag in the XML file and rebuild the library.

I have edited XLM files, but how I can rebuild the library?

WDTV jave known about tv episode squencing being **bleep** for months now yet still no fix

unreal that a media player cant even get basic sequencing right!

No, that’s what the TV Show filter does…  It sorts by the <epsidode_number> XML tag.

There’s still an error with Season sorting when there’s 10 or more seasons, but episodes do sort correctly.

Any other filter sorts by TITLE tag.

Yet after I retrieved the metadata of the season 9 of smallville (21 episodes), episodes were ordered incorrectly (1, 10, 11, 12 … 19, 2, 3, 4, etc.).
Why?
Was present in the XML files generated tag Episode Number.

Tonight, however, try to check with another season.

edit: I never changed the filter, the TV Show filter must be set manually?
