My Cloud Home says "Device is Offline" after receiving notice drive was updated

Exact same issue here! Seeing as how it’s been a year since this thread was started, they obviously haven’t done much to fix the issue. I received the latest email from WD Support yesterday and was basically told, “Yeah, sorry… you just need to do a factory reset and delete all the data on the Drive”!! The whole point of these ■■■■ things is to back up files, devices, etc., that you DON’T want to lose!!
My mind is blown

Novamente ocorreu comigo o problema, tempos atrás tive esta mesma dificuldade, ele simplesmente morre! diz que tem atualização e que vai ficar um tempo off mas nunca volta, por sorte eu fiz backup do backup então vou tentar formatar ele e ver se recupero pelo menos o equipamento, porcaria , nunca mais compro nada da WD
