Movie Genre Thumbs, plus link to others

I have tested these on my Hub & I’m using GoodBye Black Mamba theme, im not sure what they look like on other themse that support link sheets. Here are some of examples of what they look like on my hub:

How’d you get the screen captures from the WDTV Hub. Those look great, and I’m using a modified version of the same theme.

@ Vuundedrboy press Setup on remote->Choose Operation->Remote Settings->Look for Capture Snapshot and set a button up for capturing. For instance, if your set “0” as the Capture Snapshot button, pressing “0” will snap a shot and store a .jpg on the root of the Internal Hub’s drive, will be labled something like this: WDTVLiveHub_2013.05.24_06.11.51.jpg

Keep in mind, I have tried capturing a movie and it doesnt work.

My LG TV has an app for remote control that has a screen cap button. Makes life good! :smiley:

So far it takes anything on the screen. Need something you can’t find maybe I can cap it for you.

Thanks! I grabbed a few images from themoviedb.org, as well as found a “LOTR Font”. Brought them all into Photoshop, and tweaked some things. I am trying to get a consistent feel from movie folder to movie folder, whether or not it be a single movie, or a collection. Just working out my Alien Quadrilogy one now

Toy Story Collection and Toy Story Shorts Collection. Again, these are used with a Mamba variant theme, so in gallery mode, the movies display underneath the “bars”.

Thanks. I appreciate it a lot. I’ve been toying with theming as well, but man, do I wish there was good documentation for some of that. I.e. what the @@ variables are, specific settings, etc. It’s tough to go trial and error, when you’re hacking and slashing away at other modders code. Hats off to those like Devicious, Tinwarble, Joey, kad79 (forgive me if I’ve left anyone off the list, as you guys rock). How they knew what to change, or where to start is awesome. I’ve started documenting what I can, but again, there are just too many slick tricks you don’t know until you know!!! LOL.

Here’s the next one. I am trying to get 4 or 5 more done this evening… enjoy, and please use, change, etc! I have PSD files if anyone needs them as well.
