Well, Amule is in the list of deprecated apps and It won’t be officially supported anymore.
I also need Transmission…
Before I updated I checked this link:
I checked this too before updating. It says it will be supported but the app isn’t available to install on the new OS
Well I won’t update, not a big deal. By now just turned off auto firmware update function.
I was also fooled by the Release Notes… I need Transmission fast!
This procedure here:
I haven’t tryied with the new OS yet…

Thanks for your feedback and share your set of concerns.
The Transmission app is supported on My Cloud OS 5 and is planned to be available with an upcoming OS 5 firmware release very soon.
Thank you for understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.
How much is “Very Soon” (planned to be)?
Thanks any ETA?
Like to get ETA for Transmission at OS 5.
Yes me too, i upgraded and now Transmission is missing.
Not possible at all to downgrade ?
Me too, when will the transmission version for os 5 appear?
yes “very soon”, how many times?
How long should we wait??
The Transmission app is available with firmware 5.05.111
Any idea of how quickly my PR4100 NAS will see the new update and notify me? If I manually ask to check for updates it still says that I am on the latest firmware version although it is at 5.04.114… Thanks for the quick update rollout!
click on manual download links pr4100 and manul install on your nas
Yes, in fact I have done that. I was just wondering how long it takes for the update to roll out through the dashboard (out of curiosity)
Also, any idea why the second part of this?
Added Transmission app support, which is available for download from web dashboard. Transmission app is only configurable via web dashboard as part of security enhancement
I mean, why do I have to go through the WD servers to operate my Transmission app? This is quite sketchy TBH. I understand that in this way the Transmission dashboard is accessible through SSL and only when logged into the NAS dashboard, but I think there should be an option to disable this. What do you all think?
