I cannot configure my cloud duo 9 digits error on My Cloud Home Duo 16TB

the 9-digit code gives an error on My Cloud Home Duo 16TB, but I can access it through Windows Explorer and doesn’t detect it through MyCloud.
I’ve already done a factory reset and it didn’t help…

If this is the first time you are trying to activate an old My Cloud Home Duo, whether it is new or used old stock, meaning it had firmware from more than 4 or 5 years ago, it may not update properly. You should file a support ticket directly with WD Tech support and make sure you can still return to your retailer for refund if needed.

the disk is new, 16Tb, from what I understand the firmware updates via ota… I’ll leave it connected and see if it updates… if it doesn’t update I’ll complain.
