Help editing xml file

hi

if anyone could help i would appreciate it. i want to edit jsa720's rv_video_browse_page.xml file.

i want there to be 8 columns and/or the posters to be a little bit bigger. what would i change so i can experiment with it?

you’ve posted the answer to your question right there … it’s all in the code you see right in front of you

here’s a starter … you want   8 columns ? 

edit … cols=“7”  (when you change this to “8” you will have to add MORE code to allow for a total of 16 thumbs instead of the original 14)

if you want the posters bigger …?

change the w="132"h=“198”  … then you will have to change ALL the positioning and alignment of the posters + plus the background underlays + text filenames (this is time-consuming and can’t be done in a few minutes … usually takes a few to several hours to get right.)  again … you need to add more code for 16 thumbs total)

EDIT: what i’m basically saying is … if you want an extra column of thumbs, it’s not a quick and simple edit

99% of the xml has to edited and changed to accomodate the extra column. Changing one column parameter does not magically re-adjust and align the rest of the code.

hi thanks for getting back me, that was the first thing i did but the 8th column didnt show. seems to be a lot harder than i thought so i’ll have to learn a bit more before attempting this.
