Help clone damaged disk in new WD

Hello

I have this issue. My laptop´s hard disk has bad sectors in C: and I bought a new WD of the same capacity (1TB) to replace it.

I would like to know how to clone the old disk in the new one with the Acronis downloaded from WD site to preserve the licenses of the Windows and other programs. It has Windows 8.1 pro 64 bits. GPT

Should I leave the old one in the laptop and install the Acronis in it and clone to the new WD disk connected with an USB adapter or I need to put the new WD in the laptop and the old one in the USB adapter? but if the old one is in the adapter where do I install Acronis?

Acronis can skip bad sectors and clone the disk?

The old disk is not WD.

Thanks

Greetings

Hello luisx, I saw your other post with the same question in spanish. I replied to you on that post. http://community.wd.com/t5/Unidades-Internas/Ayuda-Clonar-disco-averiado-de-laptop-en-nuevo-WD/m-p/893929/highlight/false#M717
