Hi there dear WD community,
I bought a used Hgst DC hc520 drive that has a broken SAS Connector. I can still plug it in and it will work normally but the plastic is not in great shape and a pin is pushed. If possible I’d solder a new one in. Does anybody know where to get such a SAS Connector? And is it even possible to resolder a SAS mount? Or can I just continue using it even with the pin like that?

Typically damaged connectors require more work than the disk is worth.
What do you men by more work? Couldn’t I just grab a soldering iron and remove the connector from another drive and put it on this one? Swapping the board isn’t possible because of firmware, right?
Soldering is risky on small components. Better is a new disk given the old has issues.

Get an old style 4-pin AT power cable and wire the +5V, +12V and Ground pins to the corresponding SAS power pins:

Use a soldering iron to make the connections to the HDD. It won’t be pretty, but it will be cheap and effective.
